About Matt Seymour Racing/MSR
Matt Seymour is a third generation auto racer. He carries forward a racing legacy built by his grandfather, the legendary “Boston Louie” Seymour, and his father, Bobby Seymour, who has dedicated over 60 years to the sport through his strong racing career and Seymour Performance Products. Like them, Matt and his dedicated team tow competitive race cars from his shop in Massachusetts to tracks across the country.

His path began early—by age 11, he was already rebuilding NEMA Lite midgets, learning the craft from the ground up in the family shop and at the track. From those beginnings, Matt established Matt Seymour Racing (MSR) as a multi-car team in the New England Midget Association. MSR quickly proved to be a force, consistently fielding competitive cars in both the NEMA and NEMA Lite ranks. That momentum carried beyond New England when Matt expanded onto dirt, entering the prestigious Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With drivers like Hank Davis and Tim Buckwalter at the wheel, MSR cars have qualified for the coveted Championship A-Main many times, cementing the team’s presence on one of racing’s biggest stages.

MSR has also become a fixture on the national pavement scene. The team campaigns midgets and sprint cars at iconic venues such as Indianapolis Raceway Park, Berlin, MI, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and Anderson Speedway, where they captured the coveted Little 500 victories in 2023 and 2025.

Matt would tell you the teams strength is built by a very dedicated hands on team and collaborations with top-tier drivers, like Bobby Santos III,, Kyle Hamilton, Jake Trainor and Kenny Schrader. But it would not be possible without the support of many dedicated sponsors, whose commitment has fueled MSR’s success on dirt and pavement
Today, MSR operates out of Marlborough, Massachusetts, serving as both a high-performance race team and an extension of Seymour Performance Products.

Looking ahead to 2026, MSR will continue to attract elite talent and national attention, including fielding cars for NHRA champion Ron Capps in the All-Star Midget event at Indianapolis Raceway Park.
For Matt Seymour, racing is more than a career—it is a family tradition, a passion carried through generations, and a commitment to excellence that continues to inspire fans, drivers, sponsors, and the racing community nationwide.
